Placing Vortex Generators (VGs) on the Horizontal Stabilizer

1. Stretch a line on the underside of the horizontal stabilizer, 100mm (4") in front of the gap between the stabilizer and the elevator.

2. Using the 30mm spacing template, position a row of VGs with their front tips aligned along this line, starting from the outside.

If the horizontal stabilizer surface is flat, the VG's curved base will only contact the stabilizer at the tip and the heel. To adjust, rub the VG on a piece of sandpaper laid on a flat surface. Do not flatten the entire base, just create flat spots at the tip and heel. The adhesive will handle the rest.
